The Energy Brainpool GmbH & Co. KG, the independent energy market experts from Berlin, releases the outlook on the development of the energy prices twice a year – the EU Energy Outlook 2050. The power price scenario covers all 28 countries of the European Union plus Norway and Switzerland. In there, the analysts show tendencies in supply and demand, give an outlook on sales values, sales volumes and sales revenues, the key figure developed by Energy Brainpool.

The numbers are increasing. In future, the European supply side will primarily be dominated by fluctuating renewable energies, particularly by wind, photovoltaic and hydropower. Wind energy is expected to expand most accounting for an estimated 30 per cent of the overall generation capacities by 2050. “The EU Energy Outlook 2050 shows plainly that electricity prices become more volatile due to their high share of fluctuating generating capacities. The European energy markets change constantly. To know how future prices will develop is groundbreaking, especially for investors, to optimally evaluate market developments, assets, contracts and business models.” says Tobias Kurth, Managing Director of Energy Brainpool.

The analysts present the power price analysis at the new online dialogue platform Energy BrainBlog. The blog covers a broad range of relevant topics for the energy industry like trade and procurement, renewable energies and new worlds of energy like storages and e-mobility.

The online media addresses stakeholders of the energy industry, investors, banks and political players. The blog offers as a digital guide a central platform to communicate with experts and interested readers. “The continuous dialog with our customers and partners is very important to us, whether online or offline. At Energy Brainpool, we set great value upon intensive exchange, professionally and personally. We want to live by this philosophy in the social media channels as well”, says Tobias Kurth. Energy Brainpool experts will post weekly articles in German and English.

The “Energy BrainBlog” complements the web presence where customers can inform themselves on products and services of the Berlin-based company. It expands the online activities of Energy Brainpool on Twitter, Xing and LinkedIn creating an additional possibility to interact with each another. Articles will be posted on Twitter using the hashtag #EBBlog.
