Energy Brainpool GmbH & Co. KG, the independent energy market specialist from Berlin, is hosting the 6th symposium on 21 to 22 march 2017 to discuss current events of the energy sector. Well-known Experts from economics, science and politics are discussing the energy market of the future in Berlin. Energy Brainpool is hosting the two-day symposium in corporation with congress organiser Congress Compact. The symposium takes place in the Reinhardtstraßenhöfen in the government district of Berlin.

The thematic focus of the event is the future regulation mechanism, energy storages, the future of spot trading, possible bulls in global commodity markets as well as chances and risks of Big Data, Blockchain and digitalisation. Among others Dr. Peter Menck from the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) will speak about  “Electricity market design – what comes after the Electricity Market Act?“. Johannes Päffgen, Head of Energy Trade at the Next Kraftwerke GmbH, will speak about his experience on “Balancing Group Management – active short-term optimisation and its challenges“. “The Blockchain in field test – what effects are feasible today?”, will be the topic of Dr. Michael Merz. He is the Managing Director of Ponton GmbH. The application and the economic efficiency of big battery storages is the topic of Dr. Hans Wolf von Koeller, Head of Energy Policy at Steag GmbH. These and other interesting presentations of Energy Market Experts will take place at the symposium.

The evening event at the first day gives participants and speakers the opportunity for an informal exchange and to discuss the current industry-relevant informations.
